May Update - What did Boner Learn in April

It's been another month, so I should have learned something right? Time management is still something that needs work. However, it was a monumental month for me. How? Read on.

Cash Boner Spartan

As I mentioned in the past, I signed up to do a Spartan Race with my wife at Dodger Stadium. In order to get fit enough to complete it, I signed up with a local Boot Camp. Fit 2 Ripped Fitness in San Diego. It was a great experience. We got a Groupon to try it out(you should do the same for anything really) and decided to stay for an additional month. The coaches are friendly, supportive, and motivational. It is one of the best workouts you can get in one hour. The first time I went there I almost threw up! Two months of preparation were all it took for us to get ready.

The problem? I exacerbated a wrist injury I incurred last year. One and a half weeks before the race. What did I learn?! I learned that you should always be careful while working out. I also learned that if you really want something, you will push to get it. I rested for the one and a half weeks, had some cryotherapy done a day before, took ibuprofen before the race, wore wrist and elbow support, and did the damn thing! I learned that I can go over a six foot wall, and barely missed going over a seven foot wall on my own. It was a wonderful and motivational experience. I will now start physical therapy for my wrist, and hopefully go back to work out soon. The other thing I learned, is that having a wrist injury makes you incredibly conscious on how you position yourself while holding a controller. A support item I found called a Glomtom has been helping. I will post a review of that soon.

Get boning!
